A day in the life…

You will be part of a small and supportive team based out of Oxford where you will work with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects, initially focussing on Lighting Impact Assessments across a variety of markets and sectors.

As a Graduate Environmental Lighting Consultant, you will be supporting senior staff on:

  • Delivering Lighting Impact Assessments, including site surveys (photographic and photometric), lighting strategies, photometric design calculations, assessments, and report writing in different styles to support the project requirements.
  • Developing lighting solutions at strategic or detailed levels for selected schemes which meet the operating performance requirements and obtrusive light considerations.
  • The development of efficiency and technical excellence initiatives within the lighting assessment process.

About you

A person with a passion for light and how we use it to enhance human’s relationship with the night whilst minimising the negative effects to the surroundings.

The skills and experience we look for in our graduates:

  • You will have achieved or be on target to achieve a Honours Degree within any of the following disciplines: environmental planning/consultancy, architecture, electrical engineering, physics, theatre, product design, highways or relevant subject with a bias or keen interest in lighting assessments.
  • You will have relevant work experience gained through summer placements and internships.
  • Finally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.
