Join a Get Into Teaching event at Portsmouth Guildhall to find out what a career in teaching is really like and learn how to get started.  

Whether you’re ready to start your career in teaching or just curious, we can answer your questions.  

There will be dedicated zones offering a variety of help and support, here’s what you can explore on the day: 

• there will be lots of people to help and guide you - whether you’re still looking at career options or have decided that training to be a teacher is for you. You can ask questions and get personalised advice just for you. 
• chat with current teachers and listen to the questions and experience of other attendees. This is a great opportunity to hear first-hand what teaching is like and to listen to the responses to other attendees. 
• meet local training providers from your region. Having all the providers in one place will save you time and provide a great opportunity to gather information and make informed decisions about your training options.
• join presentations about getting into teaching and applying for teacher training. These sessions will provide valuable information about the process and top tips for your application for personalised guidance, speak with expert advisers about eligibility, the application process, personal statements and what the realities of training are really like.  

Get Into Teaching events provide an informal and friendly environment where you can drop in at any time to find out more. To make the most of all the opportunities available, we recommend spending a few hours at the event.
