What we do

Role 

At WRc we see graduates as our future generation of experts. By joining us you will be provided with not only all the support you need to start contributing to some of our exciting projects but also the core skills and competencies to start your career.

The nature of the work will depend on the projects you are involved in but could involve:

  • Carrying out experimental and testing work and visiting sites to carry out sampling, monitoring or site audits
  • Processing data and information to produce statistical analyses to develop and calibrate models
  • Interpreting the results from analysis or modelling and the implications they have for our clients
  • Compiling data and information, either directly from our clients or through literature and other searches

Essential Skills 

You must be numerate and enjoy working with large sets of data with a 2:1 in any of the following disciplines or equivalent:

  • Mathematics
  • Statistics
  • Economics
  • Physics
  • Data Science
  • Environmental Science
  • Geography

In addition you will have:

  • Analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to multi task
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Self-motivated with energy and enthusiasm
  • Flexible approach to work
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Eligible to work permanently in the UK

Based at our office in Swindon, Wiltshire, you’ll be guaranteed a starting salary of £21,000 rising to £23,000 after six months plus a relocation package, together with excellent training and development opportunities.
