There are exciting times ahead at WRc and we would like you to be part of it. As our company grows, we require top-grade graduates to help us fulfil our mission of developing a world-class centre of technical excellence in the utility and industrial sectors here in Swindon.
If you are driven to solve problems, enjoy practical work as well as desk-based studies, like variety and wish to develop your skills as part of a world-class team, then we need to hear from you.
By joining WRc you will be provided with all the opportunities and support you need to immediately start using your knowledge in some of our exciting projects, but also the core skills and competences necessary to hone and expand your skills.
This role is in the WRc Waste and Resources team. We work with a range of industrial clients as well as the water industry to provide expert support around waste classification and recovery of value from wastes. We also work in close liaison with the Regulators to ensure best environmental outcomes.
As our Graduate Environmental Chemist we will provide training and support for you to develop an in-depth understanding of the chemical and physical properties of wastes and secondary materials, to help clients find solutions for waste that avoid landfill disposal.
The role will be predominantly office-based with occasional visits to client facilities and will also involve working alongside WRc’s on-site laboratory to broaden our current test base and develop new client offerings.
In our welcoming and inclusive environment, at WRc we foster a culture where talented and motivated people are nurtured, encouraged and supported to succeed and develop their skills.
We know that with the right people, we are able to build on our unrivalled reputation in the fields of innovation and technical excellence.
We welcome team members who bring new ways of thinking and fresh approaches to problem solving as well as those who have a genuine passion for their specialist subject or area of research.
