Gradcracker works here's the proof
"WRc were supportive in helping me gain more experience in project management"
I joined WRc’s Graduate Programme in 2011 and have since progressed to become a Consultant Scientist in the Catchment Management team. After finishing the Graduate Programme, WRc were supportive in helping me gain more experience in project management. One of my biggest achievements has been working on secondment to a client based in Scotland. This allowed me to understand the client’s needs in much greater detail and manage my first project.
I graduated from University with a degree in geography and knew I was interested in environmental issues, but didn’t have a specific career path in mind. WRc has given me the opportunity to work on multiple projects in a range of different sectors, providing me with invaluable experience.
WRc has an active Sports and Social club which I have enjoyed being a part of. There have been a number of weekend trips away including surfing in Cornwall and walks in the Lake District, as well as activities closer to home such as cinema trips and subsidised yoga and Pilates classes.
The social club is really flexible and any new ideas for activities and events are always welcome. This was a great help to me as I relocated to Swindon when I joined the Graduate Programme and did not know anyone else in the area. WRc encourages graduates to attend relevant conferences and client meetings early on in their careers and this helped quickly develop my confidence and knowledge of the industries WRc works in.
