A fantastic opportunity is available for Packaging Innovation Assistant to join our Health innovation packaging team.

Based within the Global R&D Packaging team, part of the Health R&D Operations Team, you will help drive the structural packaging development, from concept to launch on the market, of some of RB most interesting and exciting brands.

Working within the Global R&D Packaging team you will focus on structural packaging development for our Health Category and have the opportunity to shape the future of market leading brands such as Mucinex, Strepsils, Nurofen, Gaviscon, Veet, Scholl and Dettol.

We encourage communication and connection, as a key part of our function is influencing a variety of stake holders: internally Marketing, Regulatory and Quality, as well external partners such as packaging suppliers, technology firms and universities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for assisting in the development of new packaging solutions for future product launches on Strepsils, Mucinex and Veet projects
  • You will assist in NPD projects involving new and novel packaging components or technologies to support the different category pipelines and carry out related packaging feasibility studies
  • Providing technical inputs into design briefs
  • Ensure all new product developments are compliant and adhere to the requirements from other work streams such as: Formulation, Regulatory, Quality
  • You will contribute to making our packaging and products more sustainable and cost effective

Is this You?

  • Ideally a Degree in Packaging Engineering, design or related scientific or engineering field
  • Experience in packaging development either within FMCG companies or packaging suppliers would be advantageous but not essential
  • Creative and passionate for product development
  • Willing to work in a fast paced, multi-functional, international environment
  • Experience in product development and project management within packaging/devices or any other relevant industry is preferred.
  • Some experience in manufacturing technology both on the manufacturing of the packaging components as well as the related filling and packing technology is highly desirable
