About us

Reckitt Research and Development has invested £105m in a state-of-the-art Formulation development laboratory and cGMP pilot plant facility in Hull, UK for both liquids and powder processing. The role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a small-scale product development, clinical manufacture & supply and scale up environment.

Reckitt: For a Cleaner, Healthier World

We’re launching our sustainability plan, For a Cleaner, Healthier World. It sets out our 2030 ambitions and is backed by more than £1bn of planned investment over the next 10 years to ensure we meet our goals.

This is a great time to join us as we build a new team of 4 with a variety of scientific/manufacturing and technical skills to compliment each other, to work within our pilot plant as the volume of product development projects continue to increase and as we further build our capability to provide an excellent service to our internal product development teams.

These roles will be responsible for the day-to-day activities that ensure the overall smooth running of the Formulation Laboratory and maintenance of our high-tech equipment, ensuring minimum downtime and maximum efficiency of the plant. This is a fast-paced deadline driven project environment whilst adhering to all GMP, 5S housekeeping and QMS standards.

You’ll succeed because…

Ideally you will have a technical degree/certification in a relevant scientific or technical/engineering discipline however this is not essential. Preferably with a formulation product development background and ideally exposure to working on LIMS, your GMP laboratory and/or manufacturing expertise will allow you to assist in creating, modifying and revising SOPs and workflows where necessary, driving simplification and efficiency whilst maintaining compliance.

You’ll possess highly developed planning and organising skills and will be experienced in setting up and operating manufacturing equipment and be comfortable supporting and mentoring members of the Category and Formulation teams. Effective communication skills and experience in partnering with external suppliers and coordinating planned preventative maintenance activities would be highly advantageous.

You’ll love it because…

Working with state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing technology you’ll have a high degree of autonomy and lots of variety in your day-to-day duties ranging from formulation development, equipment maintenance and compliance. This position will enable applicants to apply their existing scientific/technical knowledge to become a subject matter expert and further develop their laboratory skills.

You’ll get to make an impact like never before, the products you help us get out there will make people’s lives better. Our iconic brands will provide an incredible platform for you. And our dynamic, ownership-driven culture will help bring the very best out of you, every day.
