This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the Global Safety Assurance team to support the development and launch of new products in the Health medicinal product and medical device portfolio.

What could your placement include?
The Health Innovation team provide safety expertise and advice to our business partners (e.g., R&D, Regulatory Affairs) during new product development, providing specialist assessment from the conception of a product all the way through to seeing it on the shelves.
As a YII student the role will involve:
Developing knowledge and expertise in consumer safety, toxicology and risk assessment
Supporting the Health team with ongoing project work
Taking on solo projects and being the Project Representative for GSA at cross-functional project meetings
Problem solving ad hoc safety queries
Organising and chairing monthly Health Team Meetings
In addition to this there are opportunities to be involved in the YII student mentoring programme, various training courses and to take part in charity and fundraising events.
This role will be hybrid working between the Hull office and working from home (all equipment will be provided).

Location: All placements will be based in Hull, East Yorkshire. Hull is a fantastic, vibrant city which was awarded UK City of Culture in 2017
Charity: Reckitt in Hull has played a significant role in the local community for over 150 years. As a Year in Industry student you will have the opportunity to get involved in local fundraising activities through Reckitt’s ‘Give Time’ initiative
Who is best suited to this role?
You must be studying a scientific degree such as Toxicology, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, Biomedical science or similar
Keen to develop technical expertise
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Good organisational skills
Capable of building good working relationships
Good mathematical skills
