This role is to support a range of New and existing product Development projects for the Pain category team, to ensure they are progressed to the required standards and agreed timelines, by supporting all activities related to in house or 3rd party formulation development. Activities could include feasibility product development in the formulation lab, solving technical challenges, process development in GMP pilot scale facility and supporting technology transfer for scale up.

What could your placement include?
Perform formulation activities for internal development projects where needed:
Laboratory data to generate formulation feasibility or proof of principle.
Laboratory data to support claims
Formulation development data to support Global regulatory applications (formula and material justification, in line with QbD principles)
Robust process and data generation to support technology transfer to commercial scale
Write and compile technical reports based on data generated in the formulation lab.
Analyse and draw conclusion from technical data generated in the formulation/analytical lab and communicate to various stake holders in the form of presentations.
Solve technical problems using knowledge, research, and advice from peers/seniors.

Charity: Reckitt in Hull has played a significant role in the local community for over 150 years. As a Year in Industry student you will have the opportunity to get involved in local fundraising activities through Reckitt’s ‘Give Time’ initiative
Who is best suited to this role?
You must be studying a scientific degree, including but not limited to Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science etc. Please note these placements are not suitable for engineering students.
You must be looking for a 12-month placement starting in July 2022
Placements will be laboratory based within the Pain category Research and Development team.
Your time will be divided between working in the lab as well completing desk-based research and collaborating with colleagues.
For all roles you should have scientific curiosity, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, enjoy the challenge of delivering under pressure and working collaborative in a team environment.
