Job Description

Intel XE Architecture and IP Engineering Low Power Group bring Intel's technical strategy to life as part of the AXG organisation. We combine innovations in architecture, software, and graphics technology to go beyond transistor excellence in order to drive competitive advantages at the product and solution level.

We smash the status quo and think exponentially to achieve what's never done before, driving excellence in processing power, memory, connectivity, and security, as well as hardware and software optimisation.

We are building a brand new team in the UK to focus solely on class-leading low power GPU architectures and designs to enable the next generation of portable computing.

This requires proven skills in a range of engineering disciplines from architecture, hardware design, software driver design all with low power as the key focus.

In this position you will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Analyse key workloads across a range of sectors and APIs
  • Conduct studies on architectural concepts
  • Develop models of future GPU hardware
  • Develop and enhance the driver stack to utilise new features
  • Ensure designs efficiently support the latest generation of graphics and compute APIs, including DirectX and Vulkan

  • Minimum skills and experience that will get you noticed:
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Your experience should include some of:

  • C++ design and development
  • Compiler architecture and/or code generation development
  • DirectX, Vulkan or other graphics or compute APIs

Preferred skills and experience that will get you noticed:

  • GPU architecture knowledge
  • Performance analysis and optimisation
