As a Process Control & Automation (PC&A) engineer, you will use your knowledge of application computers, software, control and instrumentation technology to maintain our plants’ optimum performance. It is mission-critical work, ensuring that operational standards remain consistently high, that downtime is minimised and that efficiency is maximised. You must be able to provide expert support, analysing performance, specifying improvements, adjusting control systems and ensuring compliance. You’ll also be able to investigate issues, generate solutions and promote a culture of continuous improvement in our machinery use and maintenance.

What are we looking for?

You’ll need a combination of solid technical knowledge and excellent communication skills. These will be key in developing your understanding of manufacturing requirements and liaising with other departments to effectively implement our systems.

You must have at least a 2:1 (IET accredited) in one of the following areas: Electrical Engineering; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Computer Science; Software Engineering; another relevant Computing discipline. Relevant work experience would be ideal, with the ability to work to a budget and project plan.

Driven, passionate and tenacious, your strong sense of personal accountability is bolstered by your eye for the bigger picture. Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to inspire trust and build engagement are also essential.
