Job Description:

There’s never been a better time to be a testing graduate at Fujitsu. It’s all about leading the way forward as we continue to develop our Agile and DevOps ways of working to meet customer demands and remain relevant in a changing marketplace.

Life as a Technology (Testing) Graduate at Fujitsu

Be part of an organisation that is developing new technologies, pushing the boundaries and shaping the way we live our lives. Fujitsu was awarded the best Graduate Programme by Personnel Today and is also listed in the Top 100 Companies for Graduates to work for by the Job Crowd.

As a graduate you will be:

  • Using your technical skills as well as your testing skills as part of a cross functional team.
  • Working closely with customers to understand what they need, and with developers and architects to deliver a high quality product or service.
  • Taking control of your own work and tasks to be a fundamental part of a self-organising team.
  • Trained in automated testing – having existing skills is desirable but not a requirement, however you should have a strong interest in it and a desire to learn.

As part of the IT Testing Graduate Scheme you will gain internationally recognised testing qualifications provided by the ISTQB board including Foundation level, Advanced level & Agile. This training will include traditional testing methods as an important part of developing your testing skills, but we are driving towards change. We want graduates who will be proactive in steering us in the right direction, towards a more Agile way of working.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing a system’s design and preparing test scripts according to the test plan
  • Executing those scripts and recording the results
  • Checking and reporting on test results, logging defects and supporting development teams in resolving and retesting them.
  • Liaising with other stakeholders to gather information regarding test readiness and quality of the product or service

Being a Fujitsu graduate is far more than your daily activities though. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of Testing Services.

For example, past graduates have worked on creating a new social platform for testing colleagues to share knowledge; written case studies to assist our sales team in improving our offerings and winning bids for new business; volunteered at the RAF Centurial Anniversary event promoting STEM subjects and careers in technology to young people; developed standardised goals for new graduates and apprentices to define what is expected of them and inspire them to go beyond.

At Fujitsu, you’re encouraged to develop yourself beyond the role you’re employed to do; we’ll provide plenty of possibilities but your future is in your own hands.

If this feels like something you’d enjoy being part of, you’re already showing the kind of enthusiasm we want to see in our graduates. But to give a little more detail, we want applicants who:

  • Can communicate complex ideas effectively to a wide variety of audiences
  • Are inquisitive but methodical, with a keen attention to detail
  • Won’t back down when it comes to ensuring quality for our customers – integrity is key but so is diplomacy when necessary.
  • Have an awareness of Waterfall, Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Have technical skills that would allow you to adapt quickly to new technologies and testing techniques & tooling e.g. a degree in computer science.
  • Are happy to work in a variety of environments at a variety of locations
  • Are passionate about continuous improvement and are driven to follow through on their ideas

So, do you want to be a Fujitsu IT testing graduate?

Entry Requirements:

Our Graduate Programme is only open to candidates eligible to work in the UK. We also welcome candidate applications from Postgraduate students.

For any IT and Technology positions, we require you to have completed or be studying a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) subject, or have relevant technical experience.

Please note, you can only apply for one Graduate role. Any multiple applications for different roles will be rejected by the recruitment team.
