The Role

As a project manager you will either join the public sector, private sector, utilities, energy, rail or major programmes and infrastructure team (see programme management) to coordinate all parties involved, taking time to fully understand our clients’ needs. You will learn to define project briefs, engage with and manage expert design teams and contractors throughout the project lifecycle, and create solutions for risks and obstacles along the way.

You will be based at one of Mace’s offices but may also spend your time at client premises. You will gain experience in all aspects of the construction process from initial design, through construction, fit out, commissioning, handover, and ongoing facilities management. You will be provided with a bedrock of experience that will help launch your career.

Responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to:

  • Preparation, management and review of tender documents
  • Contributing to project briefs
  • Producing project programmes
  • Monitoring and reporting on budgets and cash flow
  • Involvement in construction and project close out
  • Contract administration.

Opportunities are available in project and programme management consultancy in 2017 across various UK locations including Greater London, Heathrow, the Home Counties, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester.
