This unique opportunity is to join our team who are engaged working with major clients in the Nuclear Energy Sector across the North West of England.

The Role

As a graduate in Project Management, you will work closely with clients and consultants delivering projects through all stages of the construction lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to project briefs
  • Writing procedures and creating process flow charts
  • Monitoring project progress and preparing progress reports to update relevant parties
  • Monitoring and reporting on budgets and cash flow
  • Monitoring any potential risks and looking for mitigations where possible
  • Involvement in construction and project close out
  • Providing general support and assistance to the Project Manager, Programme Manager or Programme Office Manager.

You will based across a number of locations in the North West of England, working in Mace’s offices or the client’s offices or site.

Being part of this Mace team, you will gain experience on a wide variety of different facets of what is involved in Project and Programme management and will gain experience will gain exposure to all aspects of project delivery from concept design, through to construction, commissioning, validation handover and into operation.

Professional Qualification Routes

Graduates working in project management (consultancy) will be supported in working towards their professional qualification with either the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The qualification you work towards is dependent on your degree.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum 2.1 undergraduate degree (expected or obtained). This role is most suited to graduates with Nuclear Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction or Project Management related degrees but we will consider applications from talented applicants from any STEM degree background.
  • 240 UCAS points and Grade C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Evidence of significant extra-curricular activities that demonstrate drive and excellent interpersonal skills
  • A passion for a career in the construction industry.
