Digital Consultancy - Assistant Manager

I chose Mace - here is why you should too

I joined Mace in September 2021 following my Masters degree in Project Management and now I am an Information Security professional. I wanted to join Mace because of its strategic priorities (Pursue a sustainable world, Grow together and Delivering distinctive value).

Question 1: What is your current job role?

I am currently the Information Security Lead on the MDJV- HS2 Euston station Programme.

Question 2: What does your role include?

The IS lead role responsibilities include managing an information security management system, managing information security risks and work across all departments to reduce risks, ensure incident management procedures are followed, audit policies and controls continuously, implement new technology for evaluation and compliance with industry standards, monitor internal and external policy compliance and executing education and awareness plans to increase information security best practices.

Question 3: What is one thing that has surprised you about your job?

Prior to joining Mace I had very little insight into the  construction industry, but after joining a major infrastructure programme such as High Speed Two, I have come to a realisation that there is a place for every discipline in the construction industry. It is fantastic to see the various opportunities available and the innovations to redefine the boundaries of ambition.
