Role profile:

Commercial management is about maximising profits and minimising risks in any commercial activity. In a nutshell, managing contracts gives you an opportunity to work with customers, suppliers, partners and a wide range of BT colleagues from a wide range of professions. You’ll have the opportunity to develop critical business skills such as commercial contracting, business law, risk management, negotiations, finance & accounting, project management, customer relationships, change management, stakeholder & supplier management, plus a whole heap more.

You’ll become a well-rounded, commercially savvy professional whose skills will be in high demand in any commercial organisation. Some say it’s like running your ‘own’ business. Our Commercial Management graduates gain exposure within the teams that are at the heart of ensuring we are gaining new business and keeping hold of the clients we already have.

Graduates give a glimpse of the life at BT

Cuneyt, Pali, Saffron and Shore give a glimpse of what is it like to be a graduate at BT. The culture, owning projects from the get-go, the support they receive and the advantage of doing rotations.

Each rotation will give you a deeper insight into our business and a real breadth of experience in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You can be sure it’ll give you outstanding skills in relationship management, negotiation, project management and strong commercial acumen. Plus, we put a lot of focus on making sure we’re acting in a responsible way, so you’ll get all the training and insight you need to ensure we’re acting ethically at all time and doing the best thing for our customers. So if you are ambitious and looking for a ‘substantial’ role on a varied and exciting graduate programme that will set you up for the future then this could be the programme for you.

We’ll provide you with all the training you need to develop a successful career, including the opportunity to gain professional qualifications

Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, London, and Manchester. Some locations are more popular than others so if you’re invited to assessment centre and your preference is no longer available, we'll talk you through the other options.

Entry requirements:

  • 2:1, or 2:2 with a post graduate STEM qualification.
