You’ll be joining a team that deals with the business’s biggest client, working on the systems supporting offices in Australia, U.S.A., Germany, Ireland and the UK. What’s the business all about? 

The business is Castus – a forward-thinking, progressive website design and development agency. They produce quality websites for clients of all sizes & all sectors, both locally & internationally. The environment is relaxed and friendly and there are regular team lunches and after work socialising. Based in the centre of Sheffield, the business has modern equipment, a collaborative approach to working and a real focus on quality. And, Castus is looking to expand significantly over the next few years.

What would you be doing?

 This is an interesting role which involves supporting a systems web development team. You’d be working on all aspects of tackling complex problems:

  • Thinking about them in a critical way
  • Reframing the problem
  • Coming up with technical solutions
  • Working with the team to write the code You’d be supported by senior developers in the team for all your work


Starting an internship

What type of person are they looking for?

The successful candidate for this role will be:

  • A graduate from any discipline, though related degrees and STEM subjects particularly welcomed
  • Interested in web development and able to demonstrate this interest
  • A critical, logical thinker who questions what’s put in front of them
  • Able to come up with fresh ways of tackling problems
  • Able to logically break down a task and implement the solution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy collaboration with others - they have monthly developer meetings to share ideas and best practice

It would be great if you had the following but don’t be put off if not!

  • Experience of Object Oriented Programming, e.g. php/ruby/.net
  • Database familiarity SQL/MySQL
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JS/SASS/Gulp etc
