About Our M&A Business Line:

We have two business streams under our M&A business line, Maritime and Aviation. Within our business we provide expert and specialist consultancy services across the globe. We pride ourselves on our blend of digital application and deep domain knowledge. Our fully integrated, multidisciplinary approach means we can deliver all the expertise a project requires, from master planning to create new port or airport facilities to detailed design and to optimising existing facilities.

Role Context:

You’ll join our Maritime business based in Liverpool and the overall purpose of the vacancy is to contribute to the development of the geotechnical team in undertaking geotechnical engineering on a wide range of maritime related projects.

Job Role:

  • Complete geotechnical desk studies
  • Specify, procure, supervise and interpret ground investigations.
  • Undertake geotechnical analysis and design.
  • Liaise with clients (internally and externally) to provide geotechnical support and advice.
  • Commercial and technical management of projects within the office, ensuring projects show a profitable result and are completed to an agreed programme.
  • Develop and extend the technical abilities of the Geotechnical division.
  • Provide engineering judgment and advice, contributing to preparation of study reports.

  • You have or will have graduated in the geotechnical field and possess either a Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or in a similar field.
  • You have an MSc or PhD in Soil Mechanics or a related field is desirable
  • You are prepared to travel within the UK and Overseas from time to time.
