About our Design & Delivery Team:

You will be joining our integrated project delivery business, working as part of the Design and Project Management team. You will have responsibility for a project, or number of projects, working with one of our business lines to help provide expertise in project delivery.

Our project teams are constantly looking for opportunities to improve our delivery, in terms of automation and innovation and you will be part of this process, constantly looking for opportunities across our projects. You will work closely with the design engineers and technicians both internal and sometimes external depending on the complexity of the project.

Our main design offices are in Birmingham and Peterborough but you could be working on projects in any part of Europe and further afield and be required to visit sites and liaise with our clients directly.

We create and analyse data and feedback from our project teams and clients in order to learn lessons and incorporate these into the next project and you will have a key role to play in this process.

What you will do as a Graduate Project Manager & Controller:

  • Assist in the management of design information on projects, both commercial and technical
  • Following suitable training and guidance, be able to produce Microsoft Project programmes for various projects and help support design teams on project delivery through the use of programmes
  • Help to produce and develop project dashboards and tools to assist in the delivery of projects using a Teams/Sharepoint environment
  • Assist in the management of documentation to support the delivery of designs (project management plan, programme, RFI register, Document registers, risk and opportunities registers etc.) using our digital systems
  • Act upon directed instruction to raise commercial contractual documents covering scope, change control, payment applications etc. on projects
  • Assist in the preparation of new project enquiries/proposals and support the project management team with small to medium bids
  • As a Graduate PM you will take on an internal research project to review and promote digital ways of working within Project Management at RHDHV

What you bring

  • Degree in relevant design subject
  • Ideally some work Experience in a design or construction environment
  • Additional PM qualification (Prince2 or relevant Msc)
  • Knowledge of BIM would be advantageous
  • Good communication skills
  • Local to Birmingham area or willing to re-locate
  • Good design management skills
  • Understanding of the design process for an industrial building
  • Familiarity with digital tools and software
  • Good communication and interpersonal/social skills
  • Self ownership of owning risk/responsibility of actions
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
