Joining the Company as a placement student, you can be sure that you are entering a Company at the top of its field with excellent opportunities to learn, develop & grow your skills. Throughout this 12 month placement, you will gain valuable insights into the day to day running in the manufacturing engineering department, whilst supplementing your theoretical knowledge from University.

You will be working closely with other members of the Engineering departments, providing support to the wider team, and playing an integral role in executing short and/or long-term projects.

The projects/tasks will be varied, allowing you to gain a broad understanding of the function. They will include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and understand the basic processes required to assemble the current products and create standard work documentation
  • Understand and suggest improvement ideas on current processes to help the Company meet its quality and productivity targets
  • Provide innovative solutions to process issues identified by the operators and supervisors
  • Assist in applying knowledge to analyse, investigate and resolve non-routine problems
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


  • You should be enrolled in an Engineering related degree that offers a placement year opportunity
  • Hands-on attitude with an appetite to learn and master various manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Action oriented with strong dedication in meeting expectations of immediate customers to meet company’s quality and productivity targets
  • Team player with ability to communicate well and effectively with shop floor associates and upper management alike.


Competitive salary, 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, Free Parking, Pension Scheme (max Company contribution is 6%), Life Assurance x4 of your annual salary if contributing in the pension scheme.
