The pre sales team are the technical smarts of VMware, they work with our customers to ensure their technical needs are fully understood and deliver solutions to consistently exceed their expectations. As an intern with this team you will get an opportunity to work with a variety of leading VMware technologies, as well as interact with our valued customers to develop the skills to become a trusted advisor adding a business and client relationship context to your role as the member of the pre sales team. You’ll be working alongside industry leading people and will be assigned a mentor to help you ramp up in this role. As an intern at VMware you will be exposed to VMware technologies and customers, this will enable you to develop a number of highly desirable skills at an accelerated pace.   • Develop and maintain deep technical understanding of VMware’s solution sets, architecture and full product line.

  • Provide support to customers, partners and other pre sales teams. This would cover technical pre-sales questions, quantified solution verification.

  • Provide support to the VMware Field, sales team and channel partners in pursuit of virtual infrastructure business opportunities.
  • Gain prospects' technical recommendation to develop a business relationship with VMware and its channel partners.

Job Description:

  • Drive a project focused on the collateral and assets we currently use for partner enablement.
  • Review and understand the capabilities and content available
  • Understand the current usage in the field and at partners of Partner Central
  • Recommend improvements to leverage Partner Central internally and for the Partner Community more effectively
  • Produce a summary report and a presentation overview of the study.

What do we need from you?

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree – IT focus would be advantageous

  • Demonstrate an aptitude for learning new tools and techniques

  • Strong academic background with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Motivated towards an engaging and fast paced career, with focus on personal development and learning

  • Passion for technology, creative thinker and problem solver

  • Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills, team work, ability to work in collaborative environment – all with a positive attitude
