Our Internship Programme is an excellent opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience of the working environment and to learn more about the culture and business of Canary Wharf Group. The 6-week programme involves working within one of our teams, alongside training and collaboration projects with your peers.
Our internship will take place Monday 1st July 2024 to Friday 9th August 2024. All interns will join on the same day, attend an internship induction, and begin building bonds as a cohort. Canary Wharf Group is an accredited Living Wage Employer, you will be paid approx. £493 per week (before NI and tax).
The internship programme is aimed at penultimate year, final year and masters’ students. We encourage applications from all degree subjects, however those with an * require closely related subject. We particularly encourage applications from our local community of Tower Hamlets.
Upon completing the internship, you will be given the opportunity for a fast-track interview to secure a place on the Graduate Programme (where positions are available).

Health & Safety helps to make Canary Wharf a safe place to live, work and shop. The team ensures that employees are provided with the necessary training, equipment and resources necessary to conduct their work. The team will respond and investigate any near-misses or accidents that happen on the estate. Overall, the team support and nurture a culture of safety awareness and proactivity throughout the workforce.
This scheme is ideal for anyone studying an IOSH recognised degree or subjects in safety and health-related subject.
The Investment team leads the acquisition and disposal of our assets, performing financial analysis of these and other potential transactions, analysis and valuation of current investment portfolio and developments, as well as providing ad hoc analytical support across the business.

Our teams work to maintain value and the overall performance of our assets, and building relationships with our new and existing tenants is pivotal to the success Canary Wharf. Curating the tenant mix and monitoring tenant performance can highlight potential problems and opportunities that we actively seek to improve. In this department you liaise with various other parts of the business including marketing, legal, finance and property management. We also work closely with our internal development team to ensure the success of small-scale refurbishments or huge regeneration projects like Wood Wharf.

The Development Group performs and controls the initial activities of the development process. The team assisting with the company’s submissions for planning permission and analysis of potential opportunities, with assistance from other departments on technical, budget, legal, and development management matters.

The residential teams working in our developments to deliver 5-star service to our customers. The main purpose of the role is to ensure residents within our residential buildings experience the best possible customer service and to assist in the handover of the buildings from construction to an occupied space. You will assist with effective and efficient property and facilities management of the residential buildings at Canary Wharf.
For the Vertus team (our in-house Build-to-Rent Operator). It’s busiest summer lease up period, and will work across the Leasing, Tenancy Progression and Property Management teams assisting with high quantities of move ins across the 3 Vertus buildings.

Our IT Development & Applications Analyst will tailor apps and platforms to meet business requirements. Intern will be working on coding projects such as developing mobile applications.

Our Technology & Transformation department working across the Canary Wharf Group, either defining business requirements and/or exposure to data analysis. The Project Management Analyst Intern will be working with one of the Technology Business Partners to help develop the governance. ways of working on how we interact with the business.

Applications are open Monday 15th April to Tuesday 30th April. We will be hosting pre-application webinars to provide guidance on our process as well as hints and tips on your submission. These will take place on Thursday 18th April at 2pm and Thursday 25th April at 12pm via Microsoft Teams. Please note, attendance is not required to make an application. Candidates should only attend one session as content is repeated for each webinar.

This is a project you will be given a week to create a 3-minute long video answering a brief we will provide. Videos can be as creative as you like! You could use animation or recordings; however, you feel it will best answer the questions. To put your mind to rest, we are more interested in the content of the video than you creating a visual masterpiece. If you do not have access to a smart phone or able to record a video, please let us know and we can make an adjustment.
The final interview will be a deeper dive into your personal drive and competencies; this will be a traditional style interview (face-to-face or virtual depending on where you are currently based).
Across all the stages of the application process, candidates will be assessed against a set of competencies, including personal drive and core company values. Experience is not required for our programmes as we will equip you with the skills you need to succeed.
