How will cities solve the problems of increasing traffic? How can railway operators improve the punctuality and security of their systems? How can we ensure that the carbon footprint produced by transportation is kept to a minimum? As part of our mobility division, you can help to provide solutions to these questions and much more, working on real projects which have a real impact on the real world.
This role is based within the mainline rail automation department, which has a client portfolio including network rail, docklands light railway and London underground, and projects including Crossrail, Qatar education city, east coast main line, Edinburgh trams, Storebaelt and Interconnector.
As an engineering graduate, you will have the opportunity to move across the various engineering departments at Siemens Rail Automation and this will provide you with key experiences which will ultimately help you make a well informed decision about your future in engineering.
The 2-year graduate programme will not only give you brilliant technical insight, but will also provide you with the right soft skills to succeed within the business, through the graduate development programme. The GPD will enhance your skill set, and includes modules such as business influencing skills, customer communications, career planning, project management and finance fundamentals, presentation skills and introduction to management. This role is based within the capability team and reports to the graduate programme manager.
