Where the STEM jobs are
Gradcracker works here's the proof
"I've travelled to Beijing and Singapore. Who said railways are boring?"
After studying Computer Systems Engineering (MEng) at University of Birmingham I decided to join Siemens Rail Automation because of the excellent benefits and job security.
I've worked here for several weeks now and enjoy it very much. The work is interesting and I've the opportunity to see many different aspects of the company.
I didn't really know what to expect before I joined but have been pleasantly surprised by the working environment and the extent to which I am involved with ‘real' work at this stage. For instance, I'm currently working on a project to create software to automate a data preparation process for WestCAD.
There are plenty of opportunities to learn and I'm already booked on many courses to develop my skills and knowledge.
Apart from the good mix of training and work one of the best reasons to come here is that it is great fun.
