Shaping the future of travel is important to us at Amadeus. Today, with technology getting smarter by the minute, that future is more exciting than ever.
Our business success relies on our people being always passionate about what we do. We believe in aiming for excellence, taking responsibility, working together and putting our customers first.
We encourage you to be part of new and exciting projects and for you to take the lead when it comes to your progression.
Since mobility allows you and Amadeus to grow, we always look internally first when searching for candidate.
Amadeus handles a lot of real time, mission critical applications, with 24*7 traffic around the world.
One of these applications is Flight Management, which scope is to calculate the weight and balance of an aircraft and determine its centre of gravity before and during the flight.
In order to forecast how much fuel is needed for a flight, Flight Management needs to forecast the number of passengers and the baggage weight the plane will carry. Today, the system is fed by the check-in system, as well as with some historical data from previous flights.
However, some airlines noticed some significant fluctuations in our planning of this overall weight prior to the flight departure.
The scope of this internship is to study the evolution of the flight planning data to suggest some improvement to our planning algorithm.
We are looking for an independent candidate, with an ability to grasp information very quickly, with a strong curiosity in the functional and technical challenges.
