Software Development Intern - Design and Develop Amadeus Airport Lounge

Purpose

To design and develop an Application for Lounge Owners and Airlines who have Airport Lounges.
This would be an access and inventory management and workflows for day-to-day operations.
This application shall be able to Predict expected traffic on respective Lounges by leveraging the content rich Altea Customer Management and Historical Usage of the Lounge.

Scope of this internship:

We currently have a working lounge application developed on HTML toolkit under Altea Customer Management Backend and is integrated within Altea Customer Management GUI.

Scope of this internship is to:

  • Be Innovative and design workflow for day-to-day operations,
  • Decouple the current Lounge Application from Altea Customer Management GUI and integrate it within an existing Web Based Application. The Lounge Application shall interact with Altea Customer Management via the AAPV’s backend.
    Implement a suitable Algorithm to push to the lounge owners the expected passenger traffic.

What to expect:

  • A mission Critical Application that is stable, maintainable and extendable.
  • Expect plenty of requirements, plenty of inputs, complex flows to grasp and expectations on delivery - essentially the proper real life work experience 
  • Feel free to research and use a suitable Predictive Model / Machine Learning Algorithm. Expected to present the research and various options assessed.
  • You will come away with an understanding of how to design a modular architecture, how to connect to a variety of platforms and interfaces, as well as how to keep usability & performance in mind in your design.
  • You will deal with multiple people who work in different roles for Customer Management.

We are looking for an independent candidate, with an ability to grasp information very quickly, and an ability to design a well modularised, performant application.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field

Basic Competencies

  • English - Working knowledge
  • Implementation Skills - Shall be interested in C++, AngularJS, SQL, Predictive Modelling / Machine Learning Algorithms, Usability
