Gradcracker works here's the proof
The National Composites Centre (NCC) in Bristol currently supports a number of Engineering Doctorate students, in collaboration with the EPSRC funded Industrial Doctorate Centre in Composites Manufacture.
With several EngD candidates having successfully completed their doctorate, and significant recent investment in new manufacturing technologies, the NCC is seeking to support up to 6 new EngD projects in polymer matrix composites manufacturing, in topics ranging from in-process monitoring and part verification, development of virtual manufacturing framework, simulation of automated forming processes to design, manufacture and inspection of multi-material primary structures.
There is also interest in data-driven manufacturing processes and development of sustainable composite applications, within the automotive, aerospace, construction and energy sectors.
The NCC are in a position to offer the following projects:
Please note that these projects are not available to international students due to tire 4 VISA requirements.
Applicants with ‘home student’ status and holding or about to graduate with a first or 2.1 degree in structural or chemical engineering, materials science or physical sciences.
COVID-19 update - We’re holding virtual assessment centres (using MS Teams) for our graduate and placement opportunities. We plan to still recruit similar numbers of graduates and year in industry students as we have in previous years.
