CNG Services Ltd (CSL) provides design, construction and project management services in relation to:
CSL has worked on around 90 of the 130 biomethane to Grid projects completed in the UK to date, winning a Queen's Award for innovation in 2016 for this activity.
Our project engineering team primarily focus on the design and build of biomethane to grid plants with particular focus on the injection into the gas transmission grid and design and build of reverse compression plants using our Gas Transporter Licence. We are also working on hydrogen pipeline projects.
Projects entail the safe integration of plant by considering the engineering design and operating principles, whilst managing the upstream and downstream interfaces. This involves supplier coordination and client management. As a business, we have undertaken many notable projects, including the first Local and National Transmission System (LTS & NTS) connections for biomethane injection and the construction of the UK’s largest Bio-Compressed Natural Gas (Bio-CNG) Mother Station to deliver gas to off-grid customers.
Our transmission connections team carries out design and build of LTS/NTS connections with the pipeline asset adopted by the GDN or remaining in CSL ownership where we have a Gas Transporters Licence. We are working on over 10 National Transmission System (NTS) connections for biomethane, Bio-CNG and data centres and are completing GB’s first commercial RC plant in 2025.
We are recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to support our high pressure pipelines business.
Supported and mentored by experienced engineers, you will quickly develop the competencies required for achieving Chartered status. Working within the team to identify your individual training and development needs, we will build your technical, management, interpersonal and commercial skills through your contribution to challenging projects and a training programme.
