About The Role

Cala Homes are looking for a Surveying Degree Apprentice to join our team based in the East region of Scotland.

Our surveying team is responsible for preparing and controlling our construction cost budgets and management of subcontractor order placement and payment. They work closely with colleagues in the technical and construction teams regarding the design and appointment of the right subcontractors respectively for our construction sites.

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident with numbers and people plus has a good understanding of all current IT applications.

You will study towards achieving a Quantity Surveying qualification Level 6 1 day per week at University whilst being a key member of the Calateam.

Alongside studying for your degree, you will gain experience working with a major UK housebuilder and leading provider of desirable homes across Scotland. You will receive on the job training and be given learning opportunities to develop your core skills and help set you up for success. You will also have a dedicated mentor and support from the wider business and peers.

Qualifications required:

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, applicants must meet the academic entry requirements of the course:

  • BTEC HND/HNC in Construction or Built Environment: Merit profile
  • In addition to one of the above, applicants should have:
  • GCSE English Language grade 4/C – IB grade 4 Higher Level, GCSE Maths grade 4/C – IB grade 4

Advanced entry to second (or third year in extraordinary cases) may be possible if the candidate possesses more advanced prior learning or experience.  

Candidates with relevant and demonstrable work experience will also be considered.
