RAPTOR How to Tint and Spray

RAPTOR® is a tough durable truck bed liner and protective coating. Available in black and tintable versions, it’s suitable for any application where a tough, heavy duty coating is needed. RAPTOR® is flexible, waterproof and can be sprayed over a variety of substrates.

The role

U-POL has ambitious development and growth plans and is now recruiting a graduate to join its dynamic marketing team as a Global Product Manager for its range of Coatings and Aerosol products based in Wellingborough.

This role is ideally suited to a technically skilled graduate who is keen to start their career in a highly commercial role. This is a key position within the organisation, so it offers significant responsibility and accountability from day one.

It will also provide valuable experience through exposure to senior management and other internal functions and will involve working closely with many markets outside of the UK. For the successful candidate there will be plenty of opportunity for further development and progression within the organisation.

You will be involved in a number of activities as part of this role including:

  • Every aspect of product development throughout the product life cycle for all coatings and aerosols including new product development and launch, changes to existing products, pricing, category management, compliance and product deletion.
  • Monitoring and supporting the sale of these products through a variety of channels including automotive trade and retail to consumers and professional users.
  • Monitoring and analysing the performance of the product portfolio and take appropriate actions to ensure that all coating products deliver agreed sales targets.
  • Gain valuable insights into the needs of end users to help deliver more effective product development.
  • Engage with all functions across the business and project manage a broad range of projects including the development of an agreed pipeline of new product development.

Who are we looking for?

  • Ideally educated to a 2:1 or above in a chemistry or chemical engineering degree but other related science-based degrees will be accepted.
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent IT, analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Possess strong commercial acumen with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a desire to progress rapidly.
  • Ability to engage and lead others and manage complex projects.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage own work load.
  • Highly organised and efficient.
  • Able to prioritise and work calmly under pressure to achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a team as well as independently.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
