This is a bursary to fund a 6-8 week research project during summer 2020.
The Royal Society of Chemistry is a catalyst for the chemistry that changes our world.
We’re committed to helping develop the next generation of chemists, whose discoveries and innovations will enrich our future.
Each year we give funding to talented chemical sciences students that want undertake a summer research placement.
Applications for our 2020 Undergraduate Research Bursaries are now open.
These research bursaries are to fund short (6-8 weeks) chemistry-related summer research projects for undergraduate chemistry students in the middle years of their course. The bursary provides a contribution to the student’s wages equivalent to 35 hours per week at the UK National Living Wage (£8.72 per hour from April 2020).
These awards exist in order to provide experience of research to undergraduates with research potential, to help encourage them to consider a career in scientific research.
The deadline for applications is 2pm (UK time) on 24 February 2020.
We want to support you as you take your next step in the chemical sciences.
