A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Control Engineer in the Quality Control department at the Denham site. The position provides support to manufacturing, co-ordinating remedial and improvement activities with the aim of achieving zero defects in all aspect of quality and delivery.

Areas of Responsibility
Disposition of reject parts put on hold to ensure specification and production requirements are met.
Resolve customer concerns using best practice quality tools and techniques.
Measure manufacturing performance against the goal of Zero Defects and implement countermeasures. Document and publish production's performance and progress on the Quality Scorecard.
Assess production's process and system conformance through Spot Checks and where necessary, drive and support in the implement corrective actions.
Assess production's conformance to key documented processes and ensure all necessary training is in place and auditable.
Support the review of production documentation such as process specifications, drawings, build plans and test procedures.
Support production in the completion of internal corrective actions and improvement plans.
Support the business during external audits and the resolution of none-conformance.
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required/instructed to maintain and/or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the Quality Department.
Education & Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Advanced Vocational Qualification ie. HND in Mechanical Engineering.
Familiar and practised the use of root cause analysis tools and techniques.
Practical understanding of common manufacturing quality control methods.
Able to analyse current practices and plan longer term improvements
Able to ensure the completion and validation of corrective and preventative actions.
Attention to detail in preparation and publication of work for product or process incidents.
Able to communicate in a constructive manner with personnel at various levels within the organisation and with the customer and supplier representatives.
Can work under pressure to balance competing job priorities to agreed deadlines.
Able to grasp technical issues quickly and lead and assist in problem-solving activities.
