Here at Martin-Baker we have an exciting opportunity to be part of, and help grow, a newly established team within the Sourcing department based at Denham, focused on data analysis and continuous improvement.

This role would afford the successful applicant opportunities to:

  • Work with various sourcing personnel to develop long term, effective purchasing strategies
  • Be part of the team guiding continuous improvement decision making based on real world data and trends
  • Liaise with internal production planning teams to coordinate collaborative data sets to guide the supply chain in production support
  • Formulate and report to senior management on performance trends related to key performance indicators
  • Help develop application tools to generate and analyse data efficiently and accurately

The role will also grant opportunities support the Martin-Baker product lines, with parts ranging from commercial components to complex, bespoke machinery. These parts incorporate technologies which include:

  • Electronics
  • Mechanics & machined components
  • Fabrics
  • Pyrotechnics
  • Composites and raw materials
  • C-class components

The successful candidate will have;

  • Graduate level of education preferably relating to data processing and/or experience in generating and analysing data sets within a manufacturing industry
  • Demonstrable experience in identifying and presenting meaningful trends within data
  • The ability to evaluate and interpret numerical and other data and make proposals and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • The ability to communicate in a constructive manner with personnel at various levels within the organisation and with customer and supplier representatives
  • The ability work under pressure to balance job priorities to agreed deadlines
  • Experience using data analysis software (preferably Excel and/or Power-Bi) and be able to demonstrate they are computer literate
  • A high attention to detail
  • The drive to complete tasks with no loose ends
  • The drive to learn and expand their knowledge and skillset

Additional but desirable experience:

  • SAP experience
  • Experience using Excel for data analysis
  • Experience building a dashboard to demonstrate data in Power-Bi
