We are looking for a data driven and enthusiastic individual to join our Direct Sourcing team at the Denham site in Middlesex.

The ideal candidate should be a student who is looking for a twelve-month placement as part of their undergraduate degree.

Education & Qualifications

• You must be working towards a 2.1 or higher in an appropriate science-based or business-related subject (e.g. Business, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics)

Job Specification

The Sourcing function is a fundamental part of our business and without it we would not be able to deliver our products to the customers.

To achieve this, we utilise the expertise of over 300 different suppliers, from parachute manufacture to the forming of raw aluminium, electronic equipment, and precision cut metal components. The Sourcing team are responsible for ensuring these suppliers can deliver to Martin-Baker on time.

Through this unique experience the successful individual will have the opportunity to visit and meet some of the critical suppliers to understand how their products integrate with our escape systems.

They will work across the Sourcing department supporting the business to ensure the most urgent and critical parts required are expedited to maintain the internal production flow. This will involve working cross functionally with Production Control, Manufacturing, Commercial and Quality departments to deliver the product.
