Martin-Baker will train you in skills to aid a career in purchasing and sourcing, and long-term, you could specialise in various areas from Purchasing to Commercial to Business Development.
This department is a fundamental part of our business and without it we would not be able to deliver our products to the customers. To achieve this, we utilise the expertise of over 300 different suppliers, from parachute manufacture to the forming/machining of metallic parts, electronic equipment and even pyrotechnic products. The team are responsible for ensuring these products can be sourced, difficulties in manufacture are resolved and can deliver to Martin-Baker on time.
This role offers a unique opportunity to put what you have started to learn in your degree into practice and gain invaluable experience including supporting the business to ensure the most urgent and critical parts required are expedited to maintain the internal production flow. This will involve working cross functionally with Production Control, Manufacturing, Commercial and Quality departments to deliver the product. The successful individual will also have the opportunity to visit and meet some of the critical suppliers to understand how their products integrate with our escape systems.
