Hear our people talk about why they chose Kaizen, and what advice they would give to anyone thinking of applying to the Trainee Consultant role.
While every mission and client presents unique challenges, our consistent approach remains unwavering. Each day, you will collaborate closely with our clients, uncovering new opportunities for operational improvement. Your role involves devising and executing tailored solutions to address their specific challenges effectively.
You will partner with some of the world's largest businesses to implement and sustain Kaizen practices, ensuring you receive exposure to impactful projects from day one.
At Kaizen Institute, you will dive into client projects immediately and receive intensive, structured, on-the-job training covering all aspects of KAIZEN™ methodologies. Our goal is to nurture exceptional consultants capable of driving improvement in any business. You can expect rapid career progression based on merit and ability.
Our practical approach to working with teams at all organisational levels sets us apart. We collaborate closely, coach, and instill autonomous behaviours to enhance operational efficiency.
What will you do
Immerse yourself in the client's world by heading to their project site. At Kaizen Institute, you will work closely, shoulder-to-shoulder, with the client's team to lead transformative change within their organisation. You will be at the forefront, meticulously mapping processes, conducting data analysis, and detailing opportunities for significant operational improvements.
Once you have pinpointed the most significant opportunities, it is time to roll up your sleeves and dive in headfirst. You will be the architect of change, crafting and executing project plans that meet and exceed our proposal to our client. These changes will continue to impact long after our engagement has concluded.
What will we be looking for in you
We are looking for consultants to transform our client’s productivity, profitability, and strategy while changing the culture to ensure growth and sustainability for the future. Graduates with an engineering background are encouraged to apply. Our team contains many individuals with different backgrounds, yet we embrace a standard set of values and qualities.
Energise our team: Kaizen Institute is on the lookout for dynamic, self-driven, and exceptionally talented engineering graduates and young professionals who are ready to make their mark.
Diverse academic backgrounds welcome: If you bring an academic background in manufacturing, management, or mechanical expertise, along with excellent interpersonal skills, you are exactly the kind of candidate we are excited to get in contact with. Global mindset preferred: Proficiency in a foreign language and international experience is a plus, demonstrating your global outlook. However, it is not a deal-breaker – we value your unique perspectives.
Unleash your inner explorer: Ready to explore our country? Be prepared for exciting journeys as you will travel nationwide to collaborate with our clients.
Excel in academics and beyond: We are seeking applicants who not only excel academically (aiming for or already achieving a minimum 2:1 Master’s degree) but also hold the right to work in the UK indefinitely.
Self-motivated and resilient: Do you possess the drive to inspire yourself and seek opportunities for enhancement? Our team’s hallmark is staying motivated despite challenging tasks or projects. The Kaizen Energy training will give you the tools to be your best to do your best!
Ready for the journey: Our commitment to delivering outstanding results often means working closely with clients on-site, which may require spending weekdays away from home. Are you prepared to hit the road and collaborate face-to-face?
Adaptive and flexible: The traditional 9-5 does not apply to consulting. We pride ourselves on making a real impact, even if it means putting in extra hours during critical project phases. Flexibility is crucial to our success.
Empathy: Effective consulting hinges on solid teamwork and communication with clients early in your Kaizen career or within your wider team. We believe in achieving more through collaboration and nurturing meaningful relationships.
