Procurement Process Co-ordinator

Job description

The mission is to set up the most efficient SAP P2P process for Air Liquide UK, and to ensure the suppliers are safe to use from a compliance perspective. There is a full segregation of duties which makes this role separate from the employees within the Procurement team who raise Purchase Orders. The successful candidate will be part of the Procurement Team based at our office in Birmingham City Centre, and will be required to work Monday to Friday (35 hours per week). This role would suit a recent graduate who has some work experience and who is looking to develop their career in a global organisation. 

Duties include:

  • Develops the SAP P2P process
  • Make the most effective use of the current and future versions of SAP we will use for the complete, MRP and P2P system
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures and deliver training schedules for user training
  • Adds, deletes and amends the supplier database records on the SAP system
  • Manage the supplier qualification process, including updating the European supplier compliance database (MISTRAL)
  • Provide ongoing training to Procurement, Purchase Ledger, Requisitioners and GRN raiser involved in the P2P process
  • Oversees and drives the process of new supplier approval, working locally with LCC SAP experts, Process Audit managers and European colleagues
  • P2P solution other than SAP AND Coupa

Essential knowledge and know-how specific to the job

  • Ability to build and communicate strong business cases for improvement
  • Expert knowledge of procurement tools such as SAP and Coupa

  • Experience of training and launching a new P2P process other than SAP
  • Able to gather and organise quantitative and qualitative information

Education

  • Business related degree or apprenticeship is preferred but not essential

  • SAP experience
