Leonardo’s Graduate Development Programme offers you a permanent position to develop your knowledge and skills in our innovative and practical environment. How this role fits in
The Luton site is home to the Electronic Warfare (EW) and Major Air Programmes (MAP) lines of business. The engineers based at this site work with the latest technology to develop a wide range of products for both manned and unmanned aircraft platforms, including airborne radars and sensors, protection and countermeasure systems and integrated mission systems. Graduate Systems Engineers are needed to join the growing Luton Systems Engineering community to work alongside some of the most talented engineers in the UK.
Graduate Systems Engineers support the development of world-leading technologies and capabilities across multiple Avionic Systems and Platforms. As a Graduate Systems Engineer you will have the opportunity to be involved in all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle to create and deliver new and emerging capabilities required by our customers; from the development of system architectures and concept designs for the next generation of EW capability, through to live trials of equipment and systems alongside our customers and end-users.

All of our roles require (a) a minimum of an upper Second class Bachelors/Integrated Masters degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as a MSc or PhD.
For the Graduate Systems Engineer role, the acceptable degrees are: mathematics, physics, aerospace/aeronautical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, general engineering, mechanical engineering, and systems engineering.
You must have an understanding of mathematics to at least A-Level standard, and a basic understanding of electronics.
You should ideally have experience of working with engineering development tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, Rhapsody, Cameo, DOORS, Teamcenter).
