Leonardo’s Graduate Development Programme offers you a permanent position to develop your knowledge and skills in our innovative and practical environment. In addition to working with our highly skilled engineers and business professionals, you will complete a 2 year formal training programme to develop the skills you require to be a leading technical or business professional of the future.

Our 2 year Graduate Programme

On joining the Leonardo graduate programme, you will be provided with a wealth of development opportunities in both virtual and applied working environments.  On our programme you will engage with challenging and exciting project work, and deliver innovative business or technical solutions as part of a team of subject matter experts. Throughout the programme you will receive coaching and support from your team to achieve your objectives as well as your personal development goals. 

You will gain a wide array of experience in your day to day role, however as part of the programme you will also complete a number of development modules and activities over a two year period. Role description

To support Integrated Project Teams In identifying, scoping and implementing tangible Improvement Opportunities in the Supply Chain. The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving quality performance for strategic suppliers that produce a wide range of components for the Defence Electronics and Manufacturing industry.

What you will do

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Engagement with multiple departments across Leonardo UK to facilitate SQE activities.
  • Supplier auditing in UK will be a fundamental part of the role with some international travel being required.
  • Delivering comprehensive presentations to both internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Conducting data analyses to support a range of reviews across the ITP
  • Management of supplier corrective action reports to ensuring robust root cause and corrective actions have been implemented to prevent repeat failures.
  • The identification and implementation of IPT Improvement opportunities within the External Supply Chain.
  • Ensure Supply Chain risks and opportunities are identified, mitigated and exploited as required.
  • Ensure compliance to AS9100 Revision D with particular emphasis on the Process Effectiveness (PEAR) requirements and joint assessments.
  • The identification and delivery of internal Procurement Improvement opportunities in order to support both delivery and cost benefits.
  • The implementation of Supplier Failure Review Boards in order to drive IPT Improvement opportunities.
  • Support, as required, Generic Capability Reviews in the External Supply Chain.

What we are looking for

Mandatory

Please note that in order to apply for this opportunity you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance. Normally this is to the level of Security Check (typically known as “SC”) for our business.

Qualifications

All of our roles require (a) a minimum of an upper Second class Bachelors/Integrated Masters degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as a MSc or PhD. In all cases the subject should be engineering, mathematics, physics or another relevant STEM discipline.
