We are looking for a Graduate Project Manager to join the FCAS International Team supporting the internationalisation of the Future Combat Air System programme. This exciting opportunity gives the chance to experience the early life cycle of this strategically important programme.
Major Air Programmes is the lead contractor for the Integrated Sensing & Non Kinetic Effects and Integrated Comms Systems (ISANKE & ICS) elements of the UK Future Combat Air System Acquisition Programme (FCAS AP). The UK Combat Air Strategy details that effective international partnering in this sector is fundamental to the delivery of the UK government’s national goals. The UK has declared it will work quickly and openly with allies to build on or establish new partnerships to deliver future requirements. UK government has committed to working collaboratively to define the best partnering constructs in order to develop the capability to deliver their strategy.
UK government has a plan in terms of international partnerships and Leonardo will be a key enabler in the development of the appropriate supporting industrial relationships. There is therefore a requirement for support to these activities at an appropriate level in terms of Project Management.
The Graduate Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the programme activities required to internationalise the FCAS programme within Leonardo UK.
This person will be required to work collaboratively across UK industry to support the international activities with the various nations as they arise. Each nation has a different level of industrial base for us to engage with and a differing level of capability which is offered.
Part of this role is also to support the co-ordination across the cross LoB and cross function team of resources which will need to be in place in order to assess and support each international engagement as we progress.

All of our roles require (a) a minimum of an upper Second class Bachelors/Integrated Masters degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as a MSc or PhD. In all cases the subject should be engineering, mathematics, physics or another relevant discipline.
