How this role fits in

We are looking for a Graduate Supportability Engineer to join the Supportability Engineering section. You will report to the Lead Supportability  Engineer and be responsible to comprehend and deliver a a wide range of Supportability Engineering tasks, in order to meet the needs of Integrated Project Teams in winning and delivering their business.

The role is to assist in the analysis, preparation and delivery of Supportability Engineering activities with the main focus being in reliability. This is to support a variety of projects within the Leonardo company product portfolio across the Southampton and Basildon offices. You will contribute to a culture of best practice sharing.

You will be provided the training and mentoring required to supervise team members and  will be provided the opportunities where you can take ownership of work packages; planning and scheduling your own and others work.

Role description

The role is to assist in the analysis, preparation and delivery of Supportability Engineering activities with the focus being Integrated Logistic Support in support of ILS deliveries. This is to support a variety of projects within the Leonardo company product portfolio.

You will have responsibility for ensuring reliability considerations influence product concept and design, to meet the required product performance and availability characteristics.

Key Responsibility Areas

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and a self starter, capable of working alone and managing their own time. The role also involves working with disparate groups of engineers and support staff across multiple locations in the UK and overseas. Therefore the candidate must have  flexibility and the ability to wear many hats in support of projects.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required


Please note that in order to apply for this opportunity you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance. Normally this is to the level of Security Check (typically known as “SC”) for our business.


All of our roles require (a) a minimum of an upper Second class Bachelors/Integrated Masters degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as a MSc or PhD.  In all cases the subject should be engineering, mathematics, physics or another relevant STEM discipline.
