The 6 month – 1 year Industrial Placement Graduate Programme

We have created a programme across our UK site that not only increases your technical skills but gives you the opportunity to work on meaningful real life projects alongside experienced engineers and graduates across our business. You will receive coaching and support to achieve your personal goals and work in multidisciplinary teams to gain as much experience across the product lifecycle from your time in industry, as possible.

Our ultimate aim is to see you through your undergraduate years and hopefully offer you a place on our 2 year Graduate Development programme at an appropriate time. You will undertake tasks potentially ranging from fundamental proof-of-concept research through detailed design and implementation support to prototype testing. This work will be conducted under the direction of an experienced engineer and will be designed to provide valuable insight into the industrial engineering lifecycle and achieve a defined conclusion within the placement period. The output of each task will be expected to add value to an ongoing project or contribute to a novel research topic relevant to the development of future systems and, during the placement period, the successful candidates will be required to provide regular briefings to key stakeholder

Key Responsibility Areas

You will become familiar with general systems engineering techniques and develop an understanding of radar and advanced targeting sensors concepts as appropriate.
Contribute effectively as a member of a project team or research group.

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

  • You must be able to satisfy the necessary security clearance for the role applied for and meet a minimum of 5 years permanent residency in the UK.
  • Candidates should have completed at least two years of an electrical engineering, physics or mathematics related degree.
  • No previous experience of radar systems is required. Any experience of computer programming is useful but not essential.
