Your story starts here!
Can you imagine yourself using new technology to solve customer problems? Does being a key part of keeping Typhoon aircraft flying sound rewarding? Would you like to be part of transforming customer training programmes? If so, then why not join the growing engineering community within Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3).
The CS3 line of business operates across all of the main UK sites, providing innovative and invaluable support solutions to our customers. We help to ensure the availability of front-line capability wherever and whenever required, whether that's helicopters supporting the Covid-19 relief effort or fast jets protecting UK air space. By joining our team, you could help us to continue to make a difference.
As a systems industrial placement student within CS3, you will be part of a team developing support system architectures and concept solutions, looking at cost effective support of equipment through its life and providing training services to our customers. You will have the chance to work directly with our customers and end users across the UK, getting the opportunity to understand some of their challenges first-hand.
Your role might include hands-on testing and repair of some of our in-service equipment, or the use of data science, mathematical analysis and modelling, to help ensure that the end user has equipment that will be reliable and easy to maintain in challenging environments. You might also look at how technology can be applied to provide a new type of training service that can be accessed globally by customers.
As CS3 operates across the UK, this role can be based at any of our main UK sites. The role is also likely to include travel, both within the UK and possibly also abroad, to provide in-person support to our customers.
Leonardo values their people and we reward commitment with a competitive remuneration and flexible benefits package including:
Please note that in order to apply for this opportunity you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance. Normally this is to the level of Security Check (typically known as “SC”) for our business.
All of our Industrial Placement roles require a minimum of a predicted 2:1 grade in a relevant degree discipline. For technical roles please note that our preferred degree disciplines include Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM subject degrees.
