What does it mean to be a Lendlease graduate? Our Grad Life series finds out first-hand.
This week, we caught up with: Zeeshan Ali, Construction Graduate.
Assistant Engineering Manager at Chiswick Park Footbridge, London.
Safety is the top priority and the wellbeing of employees is really valued. In addition to annual leave, we can take four Wellbeing Days per year at Lendlease. On my last Wellbeing Day, I decided to have a long weekend away abroad.
Helping deliver a new pedestrian footbridge in Chiswick Park. There is no typical day in the role I am in and no two days are ever the same. I have been given responsibility from the start of this project, where my role involves planning, organising, direction, controlling and overseeing the construction phase of the bridge to ensure the project maintains its elements of safety, quality, programme and budget.
Very relaxed. I would advise to ask as many questions as you can, making it a two-way process and be prepared to know what you want to achieve in the short and long term within the business.
Genuinely always supportive towards my progression and always tailor my training to what will benefit me and the business. I’m currently working towards my chartership and have regular meetings with my manager to discuss my progress.
There are a wide variety of projects currently at Lendlease. My seniors are always supportive to my career development and always want to get the best out of me. I have been given responsibility and accountability from the start of my career at Lendlease.
