Initial Training 

As a new Junior Developer at Alpha FMC, you will be enrolled in a month-long Training Programme. Week 1 of training aims to provide all Junior Developers with a strong Consulting toolkit. This will be a combination of industry-specific training, tool-specific training (e.g. Excel/Word/PowerPoint), soft skill training (time management, influence without authority, presentation skills), as well as training in Consulting activities (preparing a cost model, producing deliverables, managing stakeholders). 

Alpha will sponsor you to study towards key certifications including Salesforce ADM201 and DEV 401, for which you will receive training in Weeks 2 and 3. During Week 4, you will train and become certified in a project management certificate, either Prince2 or Agile, as well as complete other internal training and onboarding. Alongside training, you will be immediately integrated through a number of organised social events to warmly welcome you to the Alpha Team. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Work on complex client engagements in small, high calibre project teams 
  • Work across a number of platforms and technologies supporting our clients’ distribution functions such as CRM (Salesforce.com), Web, Mobile, Marketing Automation, BI and Document Management tools 
  • Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of these products 
  • Develop and build expertise in the products themselves as well as a detailed understanding of the business requirements and context of their usage 
  • Undertake varied work with significant opportunity to work directly with senior clients and high performing project teams 

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who are eager to make an impact; more than this, you should have: 

  • A 2:1 or above 
  • One or more internships in the technology or financial services sectors 
  • A passion for IT and an interest in developing and delivering leading edge technologies, especially cloud based technologies 
  • Competency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, Javascript) 
  • Experience with web and/or data technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, SQL) 
  • Be highly ambitious, proactive and entrepreneurial with a “can do” attitude 
  • Have strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset 
  • Willingness to be part of a team which enjoys working hard and socialising together 
  • An interest in assisting with one of more areas of business management
