We're ready too, so our team in Oxford is currently seeking a Graduate Quality Data Scientist.

We are offering an interesting and challenging graduate programme as a quality data scientist. The position is based at Plant Hams Hall within the quality management systems department and you will be an integral asset to our data and digitalisation strategy. Our manufacturing systems produce significant amounts of data and we need data scientists to analyse and explore the potential within this data to support our business opportunities.

What awaits you?

  • Data mining, applying statistical methods and predictive analytics on big homogeneous datasets.
  • Working with large data sets on big data platforms (e.g Hadoop, AWS, Spark).
  • Develop dashboards and analytical tools.
  • Improving production processes and efficiency using machine learning techniques.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Student recently completing their studies in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or Physics achieving at least a 2:1.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • High intrinsic motivation, creativity, project management skills and entrepreneur thinking.
  • Experience using Excel
  • Strong programming language skills in one or more of the following (e.g. Python, Java, C#, C++, R, HTML)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools, preferably PowerBI.
  • Understanding of Oracle / SQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience in data mining, machine learning, statistical signal processing and pattern recognition.
