We offer a variety of placement roles across all of our 3 core brands; BMW, MINI & Motorrad. The majority of our roles have a Marketing focus but there also opportunities in Finance, HR and Logistics too.

Placements for 2018 will start in July and you’ll spend your first few weeks having a handover with the current intern to get up to speed.

Technical Service & Warranty
Technical Services and Warranty consist of several teams, which are:
Technical Support: Retailer first level and onsite technical support function to guide and assist Retailers with the correct diagnosis and repair of BMW and MINI vehicles, focusing on “Right first time” and reducing repair times, including customer facing support.
Product Support: Problem Management Process (PMP) for the UK market, ensuring early identification, validation and detailed analysis of new quality issues are reported to BMW AG quickly and resolved within the shortest possible time.
Technical Campaigns and Special Processes: Management of BMW Group product compliance with UK regulations and Technical Campaigns related to safety and quality issues, including vehicle emissions data and security testing for insurance ratings.
Warranty: BMW, MINI and Motorrad Warranty and Goodwill claims and audit process for new and used cars to ensure submitted claims are settled and audits performed according to Group standards, while controlling warranty costs in-line with market growth.
UK National Workshop: Preparation, maintenance and repair of internal and customer complaint vehicles and motorbikes to the highest standard setting the benchmark for quality or repair.
The team is well respected within the global area of technical service, often being used as a benchmark market and regularly involved in important pilot programmes released from BMW AG.
The successful candidate will support the different areas within Technical Services and Warranty with the analysis, reporting and communication of product quality both internally and the Retailer network.
The position provides the opportunity to work across all areas and gain a holistic understanding of the department and its role with the company.
Analysis of outstanding recall customer data, trying to locate vehicles that have incorrect registered keeper details.
Assisting with customer mailing templates and running off batches of letters for recalls and technical actions.
Support with the development of a recall VIN look-up for technical actions.
Coordinate the Service Information Video programme.
Compile the monthly departmental report.
Maintenance of the Technical Services and Warranty section of the Retailer communication platform.
Monitoring and administration of external emails accounts requiring technical support.
German language assistance with translation for BMW Group terms used in documentation, systems and vehicles.
Looking at the internet forums and social media for quality issues and trends.

Good communication skills.
German Language skills an advantage.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel and Powerpoint.
