Share your passion for getting hands-on with us.

We believe in creating an environment where our interns really can learn by doing during their time with us and where they are given their own areas of responsibilities from the start. That’s why our experts treat you as part of the team from day one, encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table – and give you the opportunity to really show what you can do.

Between 2004 and 2006, around 60 million pounds was invested in the development of MINI-production in the UK. This resulted in the state-of-the-art facilities at BMW Group Plant Swindon, where the focus is on two key areas of MINI production: the Press Shop and Sub Assembly. Around 800 people work on site on the production of 280 different types of pressed parts for the MINI body shell.

Three UK plants have had a part to play in MINI production – Plant Hams Hall makes engines, Plant Swindon produces body pressings and sub-assemblies for MINI, and all this comes together at Plant Oxford with body shell production, paint and final assembly.

To ensure that we are continually developing our workforce, we are looking for talented and motivated people who will inspire and shape our future business. Each year we offer a number of internship opportunities and are keen to hear from you if you are currently studying an undergraduate degree and are on track for a 2:1 or 1st class final result.

Material & Production Steering

Following the integration of 2 departments at MINI Plant Swindon, it is apparent that a number of process synergies exist which could be consolidated and automated. The successful intern will assist with this, as well as review and consolidate system data storage & structure. They will also support service request and feedback process with pro-active resource management. As well as encourage current process automation through Excel / systems solution development.
