Plant Oxford is the birthplace and heart of MINI production. Manufactured to individual customer specifications, hundreds of MINIs leave the plant’s assembly lines each day, off to meet new owners in more than 110 countries around the world. Since production of the new MINI started in 2001, almost 3 million cars have been made at Plant Oxford.

Three UK plants have had a part to play in MINI production – Plant Hams Hall makes engines, Plant Swindon produces body pressings and sub-assemblies for MINI, and all this comes together at Plant Oxford with body shell production, paint and final assembly.

To ensure that we are continually developing our workforce, we are looking for talented and motivated people who will inspire and shape our future business. Each year we offer a number of internship opportunities and are keen to hear from you if you are currently studying an undergraduate degree and are on track for a 2:1 or 1st class final result.

Project Management

Our General Services department in MINI Plant Oxford are looking for a 6 Month Intern to join the team starting July 2019. This will be a project management role, delivering small to medium sized Facility Management projects for the plant. The project managers are accountable for the success or failure of a project. Typical responsibilities of a project manager include: Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects — defining the project, building its comprehensive work plan, and managing to the budget.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Planning and defining scope
  • Activity planning and sequencing
  • Resource planning
  • Developing schedules
  • Time & cost estimating
  • Developing a budget
  • Documentation

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £17,500 per annum and a range of benefits including a pension scheme, generous holiday allowance and a subsidised on-site restaurant. As an intern you will also have the opportunity to take part in the testing of new vehicles through one of our car schemes. Throughout your internship you will be supported by our experts in your chosen field, as well as being surrounded by many fellow interns.

  • Stage 3: Telephone interview with the recruitment team
  • Stage 4: Face to face interview/assessment centre with the hiring manager
