We are looking for an intern to join our Programme Planning, Production and Despatch Control team for 6 months commencing July 2020. Programme planning, Production and Despatch Control is responsible for the development of strategic and medium-term production plans to meet customer demand and ensure timely delivery of engines in sequence. Our department oversees the daily sequencing of production build and serves as a direct contact with customer vehicle plant to ensure engines are delivered just in time (JIT) and in sequence (JIS).

What awaits you?
Providing support to programme planning in the development of programmes.
Steering of daily packaging flow between BMW and service provider.
Work on individual projects.
Generate detailed analysis and KPI’s.
Independently plan and steer the supply of service and all-time parts to the customer.
Support with the creation of the weekly operations targets for the service provider.
Create and improve processes and the underlying documentation.
Support in the daily creation of customer deliveries.
Qualifications and Experience
Studying towards a degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related subject and on track for a 2:1 or 1st class final result.
Prior experience in a related field and VBA-abilities beneficial.
Experienced Microsoft Office user (including Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
Fluent German (both spoken & written) is preferred.
Teamwork and communication skills.
Be able to undertake a large amount of self-directed work with strong organisational skills.
Able to work under pressure with an eye for detail.
